I have been painting for over 30 years and I paint florals as a form of meditation. I have always been a flower lover and a gardener, loving that sense of connection with the land, tenderly planting and pampering my plants. The soil is my canvas, the flowers are my paint. I met Kimberley and saw her beautiful floral oil paintings at The Calgary Stampede Exhibition Art Show in 2019 and I couldn't stop thinking about a piece for over my bed so I contacted her. My husband wasn't sure about a floral piece in our room however, but Kimberley informed us of her many art collectors who are men and that half the serious gardeners in the world are also men and their goal as gardeners would be to have the most beautiful garden in the world and you can't do that without flowers.
